Designed and manufactured in Scotland, Strata combines a natural cave-style nesting area with an integrated outworld, climate monitoring and convenient colony connections. It provides a secure and engaging habitat for beginners and experienced ant keepers alike.

Key Features

Integrated Outworld
The built-in outworld provides a secure area where your ants can forage, feed and explore. Its removable lid allows easy access for feeding, cleaning and general maintenance.

Test Tube Connection
Connect your colony’s test tube to the port on the right-hand side. Your ants can then move into their new nest naturally and at their own pace, helping to reduce unnecessary stress.

Connected Nest and Feeding Area
A small internal passage allows the ants to travel securely between the nesting chambers and the outworld feeding area.

Sliding Red Acrylic Cover
The nesting area includes a sliding red acrylic cover that helps create the darker conditions ants naturally prefer. It can be moved aside whenever you want a clearer view of your colony.

Bluetooth Climate Monitoring
The integrated Bluetooth temperature and humidity meter allows you to monitor conditions inside the nesting area without disturbing your ants.

Durable Construction
Strata is precision 3D printed using high-quality materials and assembled in Scotland to create a strong, practical habitat for your colony.

Bluetooth Setup

The hygrometer connects to the Xiaomi Home app.

After installing the app, enable Bluetooth and search for nearby devices. Select the hygrometer when it appears to view the temperature and humidity readings from your phone while within Bluetooth range.
